NothingSpecial: gender-bending transformation stories, comics, and occasional poetry =^_^=

The church ladies of the Quarter's First Lutheran (coincidentally, its only Lutheran) have for the past howmany years gotten it into their heads to stage the medieval Latin beast epic Ecbasis captivi as an Easter-season special. The production itself is ecumenical in the sense that they tend to wrangle in anybody they can wheedle who seems like a "good fit" – which is just as well, since nobody can quite find it in their heart to point out the confused theology of the play (including invocations to Jupiter among its various classical borrowings) or the fact that, however much credit might be given to the Almighty, most of the action is resolved through court intrigue and skulduggery or plain ol' mob justice.
And nobody seems to mind the fox flipping gender on a dime for the sake of a gag like Bugs Bunny, except for perhaps the fox in question… ;)
