For most people, the first they ever hear of extraspecial metamorphosis is when they're diagnosed. It's not that the information isn't out there, but nobody in human society really likes to talk about the possibility that you might just end up mutating into a whole other species outta nowhere. Not that there's anything wrong with demihumans, but…being okay with them doesn't mean you necessarily wanna be one, does it?
