Six friends went forth to Xanadu, their costumes for to try,
That they for prizes generous might with their fellows vie,
And only one was cross-dressing (for Sarah played a guy.)
Yet when the trickster-spirit did its miracle unfurl,
Some trick of who was playing what set feelings in a whirl,
For Gerald was a dragoness, and Chuck became a girl!
