I took a trip to Portugal out of the blue (family members had been planning one and invited me along.) It was lovely overall, but one thing that was recommended to me, and which I thoroughly enjoyed, was sitting in on a fado performance in Coimbra. In the rest of the country, it's generally performed by women, but Coimbra-style fado is performed by men and tuned a step lower; which version is Kat playing? Good question…
