A smattering of random, including the two natural-born merfolk from the pool chapter. I freely admit that I pretty much stole a punchline from Gary Larson here; The Far Side was a profound influence on me as a child, and one of the major reasons I ended up being the weirdo that I am ;) Tammy being an avid if non-exclusive pescetarian is also right up that alley, though it's more specifically a nod to the marvelously twisted manga The Mermaid Princess's Guilty Meals, which I dearly hope gets an anime and/or an English release at some point.
